Join us for a special collaboration between Aux Gazelles and Wir sind auch Wien, offering workshop focuseing on psychosocial health and community care for the African diaspora, as part of the Contemporary Art & Culture Festival Afriques.

We are excited to announce a special collaboration between Aux Gazelles and Wir sind auch Wien (We too are Vienna), a platform dedicated to psychosocial health for BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour). This partnership, as part of the Contemporary Art & Culture Festival Afriques, aims to offer ean mpowering and supportive workshop for the African diaspora.

About Wir sind auch Wien

Wir sind auch Wien focuses on two main pillars:

  1. Creating Safer Spaces
    • Provides self-care and community care sessions, both individually and in groups.
    • Topics include internalized racism, strength and weakness negotiation, accountability, allyship, diaspora identity, liberation practices, and race-related trauma.
    • Emphasizes the exploration of histories and roots, intergenerational trauma, and resilience.
  2. Training Psychosocial Practitioners
    • Offers antiracist theory training and critical practice examination.
    • Provides intra/supervisions, workshops, and seminars for practitioners and those in training, focusing on the role in upholding oppressive systems and responsibility towards clients and communities.

As part of the festival, Wir sind auch Wien will hold space for the African diaspora through the following workshop:

Psychosocial Health Workshop

  1. Duration: 2 hours
  2. Capacity: Maximum 20 people
  3. Facilitators: 2 team members from Wir sind auch Wien
  4. Topics: Empowerment, navigating racism, and celebrating the creative brilliance of African lineage.

This collaboration provides a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and support networks, enhancing the overall experience of the Contemporary Art & Culture Festival Afriques. Join us in fostering empowerment and community care.
