The Idea
The spirit and drive behind the idea of this festival stem from my deep affection for Africa, a passion for diverse forms of life, and the creativity of individuals. Our intention is to create a space that celebrates the unique voices and perspectives of African artists, where individuality is always at the forefront. We aim to immerse our visitors in the rich cultural context and stories behind the art, rather than merely showcasing it.
With "Afriques" we take a step further: Building a bond between the appreciation for Africa's traditions, culture, and natural beauty and the curiosity for contemporary art through exhibitions and installations, film and documentary screenings, discussions, and sound & culinary experiences in a lively and vibrant location.
