Hailing from the shores of Lake Victoria in Kenya, his musi - cal style draws inspiration from the local Benga genre, which he complements with the mastery of the traditional instrument Nyatiti. His performances resonate with raw emotion and an unwavering authenticity.

With nearly two decades of presence in the music industry, Ngalah Oreyo embarked on his musical journey at a young age with the renowned Yunasi Band, where he served as a pivotal songwriter and frontman. Among his notable compositions is the acclaimed "Ji Opogore," which clinched the third position in the esteemed 2006 International Songwriting Competition in the United States. This achievement also earned Yunasi a nomination in the Best Group category at the prestigious KORA All Africa Music Awards. Additionally, he contributed to the hit singles "Sesube Dance" (a collaboration with Rabbit) and "Don't Go." Notably, he co-wrote the award-winning sensation "Ndindindi," recognized as BBC's Next Big Thing in 2007.

As a solo artist, Ngalah Oreyo has released exceptional tracks that have garnered success in the afro-electro music scene, such as "Aye" and "Gala Gala." Furthermore, Ngalah Oreyo's expertise extends beyond performing.

He is also an accomplished music producer and sound engineer, collaborating with notable artists including Yunasi, King Kaka, Mejja, Frasha, MDQ, Timmy T Dat, Kalighraph Jones, Ice Prince Zamani, Wakadinali, Labdi, and many more.
